Cockatiel Feed Guide

Options
Hi All

I recently bought a cockatiel and would like a clear guide of what I can and cant feed him. I have browsed many sites that tell you this but I have seen one site in particular that offered a free Downloadable/Printable PDF Guide. This would be perfect for an ongoing reference guide

Unfortunately I did not print one at the time and now I cant find it to save my life.

Does anyone know where I can find this or something similar?

Cheers

Ben

We have a new baby cockatiel (12 weeks) too and found tailfeathers website/forum to be really usefull and im sure ive seen lists of good and bad foods there;) Our little one is not really interested in anything yet, ive tried honey sticks, coconut and grapes and he wont touch it but loves millet.

Can i ask how you feed them the food? as he loves his seed and ive tried those millet holders to put the coconut but gave up as i cant fit them as hes still a little afraid of my hand so just pecks at the food rather than eat it, or is it still early days and this will come?

we have a tray that has their seed dish and water dish on and we just leave them the little titbits on the tray which is sat on the bunker in the kitchen
our birds took a while to eat out of our hands but when they did they thought they would be smart and eat directly from our plates as well :)

our cockatiels arent caged any more, when we moved to this house 14 years ago there is a big walk in cupboard which is now where the birds sleep at night, and they stay in the kitchen free during the day

Ollie has a food bowl for his seed / pellets and a seperate food bowl for any other food he gets.

It will take time to get them used to your hand, and just be gentle with them.

If you look on tailfeathers theres loads of topics helping you tame your fid :)
