Here's the route on google maps for you
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=glasgow%20queen%20street%20train%20station&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wlDebt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:
This time I'm on top of it! We live and learn :coffee:0 -
You can get a shuttle bus right outside queen street that will take you down to central station which might be handy if you have bags, its a bus that just goes round the city and is clearly marked.0
-
The bus is free from Queen St to Central if you have a valid train ticket.0
-
The bus would take you longer than walking. It really is quite simple and if you get stuck just ask something. I know that I'm used to people asking for directions there.0

Don't forget lots of beads and shiny trinkets!
(Sorry, couldn't resist, and I'm a Glaswegian!!)0 -
IIRC it took me 10 minutes to walk from Queen Street to Central Station. 5 minutes if you jog it.The man without a signature.0

(I'm gonna take him down Buchannan Street as probably the easiest without getting lost!)
Come off the train and head towards the main part of the station, towards the right hand exit as you look at it (there's a small Boots on your left). Once you're outside, turn left for about 10m, then you're on West Nile Street. Turn right and walk towards the Traffic Lights. Cross at the traffic lights towards New Look store. You're now on Buchanan Street. Walk down Buchanan Street, cross over one road and carry on walking as far as you can until you get to Argyll Street, just past Frasers Department Store. (I know I've avoided the back entrance, but I can't remember the name of the shop on the corner, so didn't want to confuse!!!).
Turn right onto Argyll Street and walk - you can now see Central Station (it's huge). You've to cross one more road at the traffic lights, but you know where you're heading. There's an entrance on the side of the road where you are.
Very easy walking distance - literally 4-5 minutes.0 -
Sorry ceebeeby, seems like a long way round to me!
I would leave Queen Street as you said, just past Boots, turn left then first right into West George Street. Turn first left into Buchanan Street then second right into Gordon Street (I think TGI Fridays is on the corner). Straight on, cross over West Nile Street (at this point you will see the main entrance to Central Station). Cross Renfield Street and you're there.
If your train is on the lower level, there is an escalator near Platform 12 that will take you down.0 -
Thank you very much people!
I couldn't access MSE on Saturday (may be it was down for maintainence?). My trip was on Saturday night. Just asked the police officer standing at he Queen Street exit and he gave some directions.
Thanks again!0
