pc keeps re-starting

    And Martin puts on the forum on every page "Pls be nice to all MoneySavers." and "...even if you disagree courtesy helps." then you go and post the above unfriendly, sarcastic and discourteous comment....

    power spike on the elec ,is it surge protected?
    powerspike components backing to psy , ie gfx card hd/dvd rare

    cleaning of the os and reinstall means the shop , or tech , were imo clueless it was hardware related from the off.
    Have you tried turning it off and on again?
  • Overheating of the processor is very likely and if this is the reason for the rebooting the cause will probably be a failed fan on the processor heatsink. To check just open the case so you can see the circuit boards and find the large metal piece sticking out from the largest circuit board and check that the fan starts when you switch the pc on.

    Also does it just restart, is there a warning it's going to restart (e.g. RPC call), is there a blue screen first/error?
