hi my names nicky ive just joined and am in serious need of good advice ??? im with barclays bank i have a barclays credit card i have used all of my 4,500 limit and i am being charged 110 pound a month most of which goes to interest payments and insurance coverage i am self employed and very worried is there anything i can do to bump this interest rate down it is almost impossible for me to transfer my balance as im am self employed what can i do :'(

One thing you might double check is your Repayment Protection Insurance, which normally does not cover self employed people. Maybe a bit of a saving there if that is the case plus a case for mis-selling compensation off the CC company??Ethical moneysaver0

have you spoken to your bank about a personal loan, which are widely available at around 6-8%, although rates may be dependent on a credit score.Ethical moneysaver0

Does your insurance covered self employed ? Check that out, if they new you were self-employed when they gave you the card and your not covered, then claim all the premiums back cos its mis-selling.
Why can't you move the debt ?
