ive googled and found details how to fit them , but all ive found is one for sale on ebay at £55
wondered if there was a cheaper option for a new one

Is the seal definitely physically damaged (split, ripped etc)? If not then silicone grease may stop water ingress.0

yep its awefull , hanging off , all curled up n nasty
admidetly silicone might seal it up a bit but it really does need a new one0 -
I had a R25 where the sunroof seal failed, I searched but couldn't find a supplier of replacement seals - I don't think they were available as a separate part. I ended up buying a replacement sunroof off Ebay.0

I always thought that a seal on an electric sunroof didn't actually stop water from getting past it, I thought that the water ran away down channels in the window pillars that on occasion get blocked.
I may be wrong, as I have no knowledge of Rovers, I wouldn't go near one personally.;)0 -
take it out put it in a warm bath, clean it
dry it,
then clean the roof up, refit it, put vaseline on it0 -
Vaseline damages rubber - hence my suggestion of silicone grease. Remember kids, don't put vaseline on condoms0

£55 of work on a Rover 25? Car sounds a write-off to me!:rotfl:0

Try East Kent Trim Supplies. They don't do a specific one but it's probably just generic anyway and cut to length.0
