Virgin credit card

Hi there
I am just getting back into stoozing after a 2 year break and have applied for a Virgin card and been accepted with a limit of £9k, I read in the conditions....
Promotional offer 1
For balance transfers, cheque transactions and money transfers we will charge interest at the rate of 0% p.a. (a year) in the first 15 months from the account opening date. After that we will charge the standard interest rate which applies to transactions of this type.
So my reading of this is that I don't need to send the money via my Egg Money card and just send it straight to my bank by credit card cheque or money transfer. Is this true and has anyone tried it or am I missing something?
Cheers Simon

Yep that is correct, Virgin is a SBT (Super Balance Transfer) card in its own right, as are all MBNA run cards.0 -
...as are all MBNA run cards.

That must be a very recent development
If MBNA are going to remove the Super Balance Transfer feature on their cards this is NOT good news for the stoozer. Egg Money will be the only option for getting the funds out quickly.0 -
I've only just (this week) transferred my overdraft to my virgin card, still working as far as I know.0

That is great news then, thanks for all the replies.
