Printer and Internet Issues

Recently we moved to O2 Broadband, but instead of using the O2 Wireless box i have been using my Old Netgear router. This was due to the fact that we have a Netgear Print Server and i had no idea whatsoever on how to connect the print server to the O2 Wireless Box.

But just recently since using the Netgear router ive been experiencing a drop in speed, and also it keeps disconnecting me. So my first question is could this because im not using the O2 Wireless Box.

Secondly if i was to go back to the O2 Wireless box i couldnt use the Print Server and would then be looking to get a Mono Laser printer. Ive had a look around the forum but all the threads seem to contain printers that are now discontinued:o .
So can anyone recommend one please. Im really looking for one with quite a cheap toner as all the ones ive seen are about £50!! .

Thanks.
