Divorce settlement

Hi,
I'm due to see a solicitor next week but just thought I'd check to see if anyone can help me before then.
I'm planning to divorce my husband, maybe a Deed of Seperation first, I'll have to see. But, my problem is whether we can come to some arrangement financially without solicitors.
We have only been married for 4 years and both put different amounts of money into the buying of the house, mine being much more. He is due to get a large payment when he retires soon and I want none of that, having only been married for 4 years. But I would like back the lump sum that I recently put into the mortgage when I had a final settlement from my previous marriage (a pension payment that I was due).
Am I entitled to that or is everything now strictly 50/50?
Fingers crossed

as far as i am aware you would be entitled to the lump sum back that you put into the house once it is sold but i'm sure someone who knows for sure will be on.

Make sure you delete your internet surfing history in case he finds out your leaving him might be a good plan.0

Don't worry, I'm on my laptop and he knows where we're at in our relationship.
If it's of any interest to anyone I will post the response from the solicitor after I've seen him on Tuesday.
