I need to get a spare new lithium battery and find they are extremely expensive. Is it OK to get one of the generic makes from somewhere like 7day shop which are a fraction of the price.

I've only used generics in my camcorder, no problems whatsoever,Alan.Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm WELSH. .0

Whenever I've bought batteries for a digital camera I've had generic ones too and never had a problem, sometimes they even last a bit longer than the originals! Just make sure they're CE approved and have things like overcharging protection built in, don't go too cheap or they could spell trouble!
7dayshop ones should be fine thoughTotal debt as at Jul 2012: Too much!0 -
Have used 7DayShop ones, they are as good .. if not better than the original.;)0
