If she died in an NHS hospital rather than the care home, the NHS will pay for a basic funeral - I used to do this as part of my job and I have arranged them in circumstances where there was a surviving spouse but circumstances meant they were unable to organise or pay for a funeral.2026 Decluttering and redistribution 327/1526 Major job list 80/500 Total 407/2026
