A request for a lower credit limit, leaves no record on your credit file of the higher one. Those subsequently searching your credit report, see a longstanding customer with a comparatively low-limit card.
Call Credit list the monthly credit limit and outstanding balance for each lender over at least the past 12 previous months on their credit reports. Unfortunately not too many lenders seem to use this agency.0 -
A report I generated from Equifax today also lists the monthly credit limit.0
