Online banking - transfer money overseas?

Does anyone know of a UK bank, whose online banking facility enables you to transfer money overseas? Specifically, to a non-UK (Euro) bank account within the EU.

very unlikely because of the fraud risk. I think they would want you to use telephone banking so they can prove your identity and record the call.
You could try finding a Euro account. Otherwise I'd suggest someone like first direct who are 24/7 telephone based and might give you the services you are after..... for a fee.
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.

Very easy with SMILE,
do it via Structured Payment, costs £8 approx, takes up to 5 days to show.0 -
costs £8 approx
Wow - that's pricey.
Just to add, I have an account with AIB in Ireland (in Euros). AIB's internet banking service allows you make international transfers to a bank account in many countries wordwide (including outside of the EU).
AIB's service is free. I can transfer money from my AIB account to a UK bank account online, anytime, without paying a penny. What I'm looking for is a UK bank account (Sterling) that would allow me to do the same in reverse (that is, transfer funds to an Irish account, specifically).0 -
Hi, I'm new to the forum and wondered if anyone can help me out. I need to transfer some money to a bank account in France, but I would prefer a cheaper way than using my bank as they want to charge £10 for it. I had a quick search on the net and have found www.moneybookers.com - does anyone have any experience of using this site - it looks bona fide but I would prefer some first hand recommendations before I try it. Thanks!0
