I won 2 tickets to San Diego last week and I've just awoke to read this on their website

Zoom Airlines sincerely regrets to advise its customers that it has suspended operations with effect from 19:00 hrs on Thursday 28 August 2008. Both Zoom Airlines Inc and Zoom Airlines Ltd, the Canadian and UK airlines, have started administration proceedings in their home countries.

All Zoom flights have been cancelled and aircraft grounded.

For customers who have future travel plans involving a Zoom flight for which reservations and payment have been made, you should refer to your credit or debit card company to apply for a refund.

I feel guily being upset as there are so many people who's holidays have been ruined. At least i hadn't booked anything yet, I was going to book accomodation today

I contacted the ISP as advised by other posters and Edwin Mutton is a gem, he contact baa and made them aware of their oblications to provide a prize.

They came back and offered me two return flights to any US destination of my choice so i'm taking my Mum to New York for christmas shopping - can't wait!

That's a real shame as I bet you were dead excited! At least you hadn't booked anything yet. This airline going under is a real b****r for those who have booked holidays, I really feel for them.

awww thats awful news for you hun, hopefully you'll win something bigger and better. What comp did you win it from - maybe you could get in contact with them and see if they can help you?

Oh no that's such a shame, I feel so bad for you (and of course for their customers who have flights booked) I really hope you win something super amazing soon to make up for it! Maybe Gatwick airport who you won the comp with might offer you another destination/airline ticket? Worth a try!

Just seen it on the news - so sorry. I would contact the person who ran the comp and see if they can offer an alternative - you never know.

Also said on the news people are stranded in the US so I suppose you've been lucky - if you can call it that.

that is such bad news im sorry that your not gonna be able to go as i know you were so happy !!

but on the brightside at least you werenot already in san diego and stuck cause they cancelled the flight back
