Help!! Utilita installing new meters 2mo!!

Options
Ok, so last week (i think) some bloke knocks on my door to tell me to switch to Utilita, does all his sales talk and all that crap and says hes gonna fix me in some new meters, (im pre-pay) and gives me all these promises of never running out of credit between certain hours, paying no weekly fee, and paying same rates as direct debit customers.
I just did a search of them in the forums and came up with one thread about them going bankrupt. So now im all scared and worried!! I also had to talk on the phone to the company there and then when i signed the contract thingy. and now i am crappping my pants about whether i made the right choice. my neighbour couldnt go with them as she has a debt with her current company and they wouldnt take it on. I live in Southampton, and apparently they are based in Winchester. which is 20 mins drive from me. id never even heard of them before. and now im just not sure what to do!!!
help me quick they coming round tomorrow afters!!!
thanks!!

Tell them you have changed your mind; all contracts signed on a doorstep have a cooling off period.

Their prices are based on BG Standard tariff.

Just tell them to go away.

I wasnt even aware Utilita operated with pre-payment.

I think they went out of business a while back and handed all their accounts over to another supplier (EDF I think) but they are back in business again now.

TBH, if you have pre-payment meters then its more than likely Ebico would be the cheapest supplier for you.

And if you really wanted to save money, get shot of those pre-payment meters, they may be easier to budget with but they are the most expensive way to pay for gas and electric.
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

Sounds like they signed you up for a 12 month contract non-prepay with one of their smart meters etc.
