  • Anyone know if this is a long or short-term offer? Plus do you have to be there at the crack of dawn, as with the Morrison's 50p items, to get hold of them? May pop down now on the off chance they have some left.

Good idea re the melon freezing.

I was told that the offer ends on Tuesday 2nd September.

I went to Sainsburys in Reading, it is a big superstore and they had everything apart from the apples and melons.

Glad my first post was useful :T ... Even if I did post it on the wrong board (sorry)

Thanks for the posts. The melon was 49p and pears were 88p.

I bought the 800g pears. The pears are large but in a 'less than perfect' shape/ fruit skin. I ate one on the day of purchase and it was very hard. I think it will be sweet when it is ripe.

I didn't try the mango and oranges. Has anyone try them? are they sour or sweet?

I'm just back - Basic white grapes are 60p for 500g, I paid 40p for the 800g pears, 80p for the basic citrus bag.

    Cheap yummies!
