Good idea re the melon freezing.
I was told that the offer ends on Tuesday 2nd September.
I went to Sainsburys in Reading, it is a big superstore and they had everything apart from the apples and melons.
Glad my first post was useful :T ... Even if I did post it on the wrong board (sorry):A Totally addicted to MSE :A0 -

Pears, 800g

Carrots, 1.5kg

looks good,thanks0 -
Thanks for the posts. The melon was 49p and pears were 88p.
I bought the 800g pears. The pears are large but in a 'less than perfect' shape/ fruit skin. I ate one on the day of purchase and it was very hard. I think it will be sweet when it is ripe.
I didn't try the mango and oranges. Has anyone try them? are they sour or sweet?0 -
I'm just back - Basic white grapes are 60p for 500g, I paid 40p for the 800g pears, 80p for the basic citrus bag.
Cheap yummies!
