Does anyone know a good place online to buy upvc windows ? where i can just submit measurements and order ?

You need to find a local window firm. Almost all the window companies who double glaze your house, also make their own windows. If you call them on the phone and tell them you just want to buy a window, most will give you a quote. I paid (I think) ~£150 each for 1200x1000 windows with one hinged pane.

However... there are no "standard" sizes, you need measurements to the mm of the brickwork hole, and the window maker needs to work out the gap from brickwork to window.

Also, can you answer the following questions?

what type of glass do you want?
How "thick" do you want the frames?
How "tall" do you want the window profiles?
Glazed from the inside or outside?
What type of hinges do you want?
Depth of window ledge?
Colour of the stuff in between the panes?

And you know that you probably need building regs approval?
That upstairs windows need to open to a certain unobstructed width (for use as a fire escape)?

Wickes sell several pre-made windows, but the sizes are probably wrong for your house.
