problems with AOL can anyone HELP?

Hi all
I have been with AOL for many years, (I don't like changing things)
my problem as been since getting my free router, I have tried today to get it sorted for 1hr on the telephone he ended up telling me to re-enter the AOL disc and start again.
When I try to put an address in the bar it comes up update your AOL browser? I have followed the help page but that dosn't work. I don't have any probs getting a address on internet explorer but I really would like to go to an address from my AOL page.
any ideas please
