Legoland Advice Please.

Hi

We are going to Legoland on saturday. We have got the entry tickets with my clubcard vouchers so will be free to get in. I am planning on taking a picnic with us so we won't have to eat in the restaurants.

However, As we are only there for one day we will be staying from open to close, I was thinking we might have to eat there later on as I wouldn't be able to take enough food to last all day. also we all hate warm drinks so was thinking we might buy drinks in there...Can anyone tell me roughly how much drinks are in there.

Also does anyone have any tips about how to get the most out of the day.

Thanks

  • Refreshments are really expensive at Legoland - take a cool bag! Also all the major rides have cameras on to take your photo when you reach a 'critical' point on a ride - they are horrendously expensive!!!!!

They often have tents away from the main attractions selling lego where you can get some really good deals but the actual 'shops' are very expensive.

Be prepared to get wet on several of the rides - I suggest takng kagool's or similar lightweight raincoat.

Also, go very early - we have merlin passes, and were there last saturday, so didn't need to queue via the ticket booth, thankfully, as the queues were horrendous! My wife went back to the car park at lunchtime, to get our packed lunch, and said the queues hadn't died down at all. Needless to say, it was really busy, minimum wait time of an hour for each of the rides. I would expect this weekend to be the same, or busier, being the last weekend of the school holidays, and the weather should be good.

    Have fun!

another one to say go early and do as much as you can. We tend to hit the very popular rides first so we have slightly less queues later on. I don't know the most popular now as we haven't been for three years.

As for drinks I also agree take extras with you in a cooler. We used to pay an extra 5 pounds I think for premium parking and got there so early we were close to the gates. Meant popping back for food and drink was really easy.

It is a great park for fun but I never liked it gone lunchtime. Queues were just too long for me.

    Thanks

I will pop a few cans of pop in the bag then, that should save a bit of cash...

We are aiming to get there before the gates open so should be at the front of the queue to get in at least.

We can't all go on a lot of the rides anyway, as My boys are 5&7 and the youngest has to go on with an adult as he is under the 1.3m also I am pregnant so am limited to what I can go on.... dh doesn't really like fast rides, so we will mainly be around the kids rides or smallish rides, which I have heard have smaller queues??

I will pack the kids trunks as well for the water play area. Haven't got any macs, so will just go on any wet rides later in the day so we are not walking round soaking all day!!!!

    Thank you for your tips.

We are going this afternoon as we are staying in a hotel nearby.
