switching from Southern E to NPower
Hiya,
I got collered by NPower outside supermarket last week. The lady nearly fell over when I told her what we pay for leccy. Am going through the process of switching from Southern Electric to NPower. However we owe Southern Electric about £200. NPower said when you request last statement you usually end up owing a lot less than you originally thought. She says SE will try and ties us in cos we owe them. Has anyone had experience of this when trying to switch? We will just pay whatever it is so we can be freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Thanx

Better check the comparisons again as N-Power just put their prices up today.0

To get you to sign for them(and hence they get their commission) most of these agents will allow you to pay £x a month less with them. Usually this will mean that you will end the first year owing them money.
The only way to check which company offers best vaue is to check their tariffs against each other. As Cagey said NPower have just put up their prices a lot.0 -
Hi,
Thanks for your replies. I had a phone call from NPower yesterday about us switching. She asked what we pay currently and she told me that we wouldnt save anything by moving to NPower as their prices will increase by 14.5% for leccy and 13.5% for gas from Jan 06. So iam staying with Southern Electric.
