Central Heating overhaul (new boiler)

Hi All
Our current hot water system has a (poorly lagged) open vent water cylinder in the airing cupboard, a cold water feed/expansion tank in the loft, all heated by an old 70s style back boiler.
We want to get rid of the back boiler and put a new one into the extension we're building. We don't want a combi and probably don't have enough water pressure/flowrate to go with a Megaflow unvented system, so we asked for a quote from a local heating company to do the following, keeping the existing open vent setup:
I don't believe that includes TRVs for the rads, and if I wanted a Vaillant boiler it would be "about £300 more".
The boiler appears to cost about £550 and the controls about £100, therefore a Id conservatively estimate parts will be no more than £1k, so although I may be wrong, around £2.5k of labour seems a little expensive to me given the apparent simplicity of the install, using virtually all of the existing plumbing?

- Chemical flush the existing 10 rad system (they don't offer powerflush)
- Rip out old boiler
- Replace existing DHW cylinder with modern equivalent in same location
- Install new Ferroli Optimax boiler in extension (HE 18 OV I think)
- Fit basic Honeywell Y Plan pack controls/valve
- Connect everything up and commision boiler.

Care to expand?
I wasn't intending on going with that anyway, they'll fit a Vaillant etc if that's what I want, I just want to get an idea on the price. My Excel Mortgage Calculator Spreadsheet: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=11571730 -
If they're suggesting a Ferroli boiler it sounds like they're trying to make as much from the job as they can with little outlay. Add to that the fact that they can't do a powerflush (which is part of a new install) which also saves them a good few hours!
Have to say it sounds well over priced to me judging by the info you've given.
