Storage heaters - disposal

Just wondered if anyone knew whether there were organisations which might appreciate (fully functioning) storage heaters?
I have listed them on both freecycle and gumtree, but after having no fewer than 6 separate people arrange to come pick them up and then not turn up (after my waiting in each time):mad: , I have pretty much resigned myself to sending them to landfill.
Just thought I'd do a quick check on here to see if anyone had any other, more ecologically friendly, ideas?
