Nationwide Current Account advice

Hi
I'm interested in opening a Nationwide CA mainly for the fee to use abroad aspect.
I still want to keep my other bank account but all the blurb on the Nationwide wenstie suggests that I have to transfer salary & DD's etc across. Is there any way round it?
Any genuine suggestions are appreciated

I don't think there is a requirement to pay anything in. My account has a fiver in it until I top it up for going abroad, then it goes back to a fiver afterwards.0

Ours too, they gave us a large OD facility then reduced it when they realised we were using it as a second account. Uness they have changed the rules there is no minimum monthly deposit required.0

When I opened my account I was very open about not using it as my main account. All my wages and DDs stayed where they were. At the moment all that goes into it is the money from my mystery shopping/online work (I'm in the process of setting up a business account). They would like you to use it for your wages etc, but they're unlikely to refuse you it.
I also have two other inactive current accounts (with other banks) and they've not said anything about it yet.0 -
I applied for the account for the free to use abroad bit - chose the option on the online application that my wages are paid elsewhere and they offered me the flex account and their credit card with a nice limit for BTs - I keep about a fiver in the flex account and they haven't complained0
