Opening an ISA

Options
I am ready to open an ISA but just have a few questions. Im going to put the full £3600 in but may need to withdraw some of this during the year (my money is currently in a graduate account earning no money. I have gone through the guides on this site and Icesaves Easy Access ISA at 6.1% seems the best option, am I correct?

Thanks,

Baz

For a cash ISA it is an excellent rate and will allow you instant access.

    I would go for that...

I think HSBC and Barclays currently offer 6.25% instant access ISAs for new money. Slightly better than Icesave, though Icesave has the advantage of being able to transfer in existing ISAs.

  • Can you explain what you mean by 'advantage of being able to transfer in existing ISAs'? Does that mean if i have ISAs elsewhere i can put them all into this one?

    Thanks

That's pretty much it, yes. Some banks allow you to transfer previous year ISAs into their products, others don't.

    Thanks
