Thought I would let you all join me in thias journey..
I am constantly directed to BT when I phone out as my payments have fallen behind. This is due to a change of circumstance IE me having an accident and am now in a wheel chair for 3-4 months. I am unable to work my wife has cut her hours down so that our 4 children can be looked after..I was wanting to see if we can come to an agreement on 2-3 monthly larger direct debit monthly payments to clear the outstanding amount..but your wonderful telephone answering machine dosent have an option to actually Talk to somebody.. I can do everything but talk (Mr Bells orginal concept for the invention in the first palce)..
Is their any chance a real human being could phone me on
00000 0000 0000
Many Thanks
And those of you WILL say something along the line of YOU SHOULD JUST PAY OR KEPT UP WITH PAYMENTS etc etc etc....
Well really I never knew that...how simple a thing to do...

If you've already struggled to meet the payments, I should imagine it's going to be even harder to make bigger payments.
That said, it is possible to talk to an actual person when you ring bt, dial 150 then following the options, press, 1, 1, 2, 3, 2, this should direct you to an actual person (I hope).Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before0 -
I'm sure once you speak to a human and explain your problem and the need to have telephone contact with your gp, carer etc..
Been through rough times and BT before, it's hard work with them but keep on at them appeal to their softer side if they have one.Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
**Sometimes** when you do call these numbers and are greeted with the press one, press two business you can hold the line and then get directed to a real talking person :T Other times not - but it is worth a try.
Or in some cases pressing star or hash or something along those lines will get you through.:j0 -

The OP will still be able to dial 999 from their phone. I cannot comment on BT's policy, but at ntl as long as the customer could dial 999, the call barring would not be removed.Gone ... or have I?0
