The American singer-songwriter and guitarist Liz Phair’s brilliant debut album, Exile in Guyville, was released in 1993 to critical acclaim. Its blunt, often sexually explicit lyrics are combined with a winning hybrid of indie rock and pop and her low, vibrato-less voice gives many of the songs a slightly detached, deadpan character. Exile in Guyville was ranked number 328 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time and has inspired many other artists to imitate its lo-fi sound and emotional honesty. Fifteen years after its release, the album has finally been reissued, complete with three B-sides and Guyville Redux, a 60-minute DVD of interviews conducted and filmed by Phair herself. You could win one of three copies of Exile in Guyville by answering the following question:
In which city was Liz Phair born?
:T Conneticut :T
