Hp2180 Photo printing

i know a few of us brought this all in one multifunction printer recently.

i have been trying to print photos - but everytime i print the photo there is a white tab which appears at the end of the photo each time.

now i dont particulary want to have to cut the white tab off as this will distort the picture size and not make it fit a photo frame properly


under the print settings it appears that 6x4 borderless(tab) is the standard however i want to print 6x4 without any tab.

the other sizes which are under the printer settings to print without a tab are not what i want ie 10"x 18" etc

hp tech support are absoulutely crap - both india callcentre and also their online - they state that the white tabs are normal and that you have to cut them off hence leaving a not correct size 6 x 4 photo which cant be correct
