VAT on my bills
I am with British Gas for both Gas and Electricity if my bill is under a certain amount I get charged VAT at 5% but over a certain amount it jumps to 171/2% this is so frustrating as I requested to pay my bills monthly to keep down the cost on VAT -they refused my request and I have to pay three monthly so more offten that not my vat is at the higher rate -this does not seem fair to me I could save money if they would allow me to pay monthly and in the present climate its all about saving cash!!!!! any suggestions from any one and can British gas refuse my request to pay monthly?????
