Martin's advice re:Boiler cover - I'm confused

Hi,
Can anyone de-confuse me please

Somewhere on here Martin had notes on Boiler cover with Britsh Gas and said they had reduced the cover from £79 to £49 (up till 15th Aug).

I know it's too late for that offer but I still can't see any cover for the original £79 figure.

I need to take out some insurance for our boiler and central heating - boiler must be about 5 years old if not more and I cannot find any info on supplier or fitter or any previous service being carried out so am desperate to make sure we have someone who can carry out annual service and emergency cover.

Any thoughts??

Would British Gas be best option? (we pay Atlantic for our Gas/Electic).

Thanks for any advice.

I think the offer you are referring to was for a service only.
The full BG Homecare would be somewhere in the region of £200 per annum. They do cheaper ones if you only want the boiler covered or if you are willing to pay a fee per visit.
Npower also do a scheme but I think they use local corgi plumbers whereas BG use their own staff (mostly!)
If you search this forum for Homecare you may find what others think of the service. I am with BG and have found them OK but expensive.
  • Have you contacted Atlantic and asked about their boiler cover?

Advert in todays daily Express, Bg have extended the £49 offer until 1st Sep.
Could well extend it further if their men still have no work!!
