Hi!
I've been to a couple of places where you can cook your own steak, but to be fair i can't remember most of them. There was however a steakhouse called Argento in Huddersfield, which had a hot rocks menu where you could cook your own steak!!
I'm not sure if they still do it, but you could always give them a ring and find out?!0 -
The restaurants in The Village Hotel chain do it I believe0

Was it the Papagei restaurant near Luz??? We were there last week! The only similar things I have ever seen in the midlands are:
We once had dinner at 'the Pig Barn' just outside Lichfield, where you cooked your own choice of meat/seafood at the table - it was on metal rather than stone though. This is the website, but it doesn't mention anything about cooking at the table, so maybe it has changed??

Quite a few years ago someone also mentioned there was a pub which did something similar at Polesworth (near Tamworth???), but I have never been there and don't really know where Polesworth is!

Thanks guys, I will have a look into all of them and will hopefully get something booked. Not sure what the name of the restaurant was but it was in the New Town part of Albufiera by where the land train stops - would recomend it!!!0

If you want to venture further, The Coal House in Apperley, near Tewkesbury does this beautifully.0

Yes the Pig Barn at Swinfen is lovely...
I think the pub you were told about is called the The Hatters Arms? It's in a place called Warton which is a village near Polesworth and is about a ten minute drive North of Tamworth up the B5000.

We had a lovely meal like this in the Isle of Wight in May. Will try out the Tewkesbury pub when I next visit my family. Thanks!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Hey tally ann
Was it The Sizzling Stone restaurant you mean, we went there last year & loved it! Its just off the end of the strip in albufeira.
Went to a pub in Warrington a few years back that did it, but im not from round there & can't remember the name of it.
Wasn't a patch on the one in Portugal... though that may be due to the sunshine & general holiday feeling!0
