Want cashback - but want to use my current insurer - help!

Hi
I'm sure I've read something about this on here before but I can't find it so sorry if I sound repetative.
I've shopped around for my car insurance and the best price is with my current insurer (Sheila's Wheels) - not the renewal price they've quoted me, of course, but the price I get if I do the whole thing again online. I could phone them and ask for this price but I'd rather do it online and get the cashback.
My question is, do I actually need to cancel the insurance or if I just ignore the renewal and go through the process online again, should this count as a new policy and (hopefully) get me the cashback?
Thanks in advance for any responses!
