I hope someone can help me. My daughter set up a laptop for me with a wireless connection, however, today, it is coming up with a message saying it is "disconnected". The other laptop and computer in the house connect ok. So the wireless connection is working ok for them. I am sure it is something simple but a bit wary of fiddling with it, when she is not here and in New Zealand. Hope someone has an idea of what to do.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Waddle you do eh?

Can you get a connection if you move your laptop closer to the wireless router? If so then you don't have a technical problem, you're just out of range.0

do yu have a little picture of a computer with waves coming out of it down at the bottom right somewhere on the bar? click on that and you should see a menu of available wirelss networks, pick the one you use and click connect and it should connect you.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Some laptops have a button on the front/side that if pressed will disable the wireless connection, you need to press it to enable it.0

One of mine has that - I once reinstalled my OS because I couldn't get wireless to work before I remembered. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett
