ATM withdrawal limit question

Hi All,
I have a trivial question regarding the ATM withdrawal limit:
Say the ATM withdrawal limit is $1,000 but I only have $500 in my account: will the system choose the lowest value to set as the withdrawal limit (hence the max it'll allow me to withdraw is $500) or will it allow me to withdraw $1000, overdrafting my balance?
Many thanks in advance!

The ATM will not only give you $1000 it'll also give you a free Hershey bar & a signed Britney T Shirt.

Basically you can't withdraw more than what you have in your account (including agreed overdraft if you've got one). You'll need to talk to your bank regarding the daily withdrawal limit they impose on your card. Don't assume the machine will give you more than what you have, even if it does you're more than likely to be charged an over limit fee.0 -
Thank you, Skyrider, for the information and thank you zappster for the humour (albeit a lame one
