Is this a good laptop for £340?
Bearing in mind it is refurbished and from PC world?
Thanks
Jack

Yeah, that's not bad.
It's not going play any games, but it'll be more than good enough for most day to day tasks.0 -
At the moment I have an Acer Aspire 5102wlmi that just packed in.
Will it be faster than that?0 -
which is:
AMD Turion64 x2 TL-50 (1.6 GHz, 512 KB L2 cache total, 256 KB on each core) and 1gb ram0 -
I don't think it's going to be hugely faster.
You can buy new laptops with slightly higher specs than the one in your first post from Dell for not much more.0 -
Will it be any faster?
Is it better specs than my old laptop?0 -
The Toshiba's CPU is a slightly slower clock speed, though it has a larger cache. It uses slightly faster 667 MHz RAM, and has a slightly faster integrated graphic chipset capable of using more RAM. The Toshiba also has a smaller screen than your old laptop. The Toshiba might be a bit faster, but I don't know how much you'll notice.0

Overall which would you say is better?
I think I would ratherhave a smaller screen tbh0 -
The Toshiba is probably the better of the two, though there's not much in it.
If I were you, I would probably save up another £50 and get something like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Aspire-5920-Hard-drive-GraphicsX3100/dp/B0010X2L4O/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1219883110&sr=8-3
Which is better than either of them.
If you want something really small, there's always the Asus Eee PC.0 -
Okay well tbh lol I can't stand the look of those laptops and I need the laptop before I start sixth form next week and can't really afford another £50
Would you recommend the toshiba for the price though?
£3400
