My daughter has a border in her bedroom that she's now outgrown (on top of the wallpaper). It goes along all the walls at the very top - what's the best way to remove it? Use some heat - a hairdryer perhaps?

If the border is stuck on top of vinyl wallpaper or paint you should be able to remove it using a sponge and some warm soapy water.Homeowner with 1st mortgage sine Dec 09

If its the self adhesive border, you will be pulling your hair out trying to get the sticky residue off.
Try and get as much off with either a steamer, or hot soapy water.
Any sticky bits that are left, leave to dry, then get some white spirit and rub with that, it should come off, then wash the WS so none is left behind on the walls.
If its the ordinary border that has been pasted, again either a steamer, or hot water, and plenty of elbow grease, it will come off, but can be very time consuming.0 -
If it's self adhesive, you can peel it off very gently and then get another border to stick over the top!
I've just removed a Bob the Builder border from my sons room as he's outgrown Bob, and replaced it with a blue pattern one. Here I go again on my own....0
