Ropey Space bar

Hi,
On my laptop I noticed it was filthy under the space bar, so I prised it off, but now even though it's clipped back in properly, it doesn't work very well. I've looked online and seen diagrams of how to re-attach it and I seem to have done this ok, but it's driving me mad as you can't just tap it now, it needs a very firm prod in the centre for it to work!
Anyway, what I wanted to ask was - will PC World (where it's under warranty) tell me to go away as I've pulled it off (I thought you could dismantle then put back together!!). It's not much use to me as I use the laptop for typing up college work - it would take me all day now!
Thanks,:p

I really need to sort out a new signature!

I've had an experience like this before, and it's usually because it just isn't in right... one of the little white clips isn't properly attached to the tabs on the spacebar, for example.
Maybe take it off and try attaching it again?Russia is HERE0 -
You could always take it back to PC World, tell them it seems to be sticking and plead ignorance. I'm sure they could reattach it properly for you.0
