electric hob oven - glue residue

Options
I have a Tricity Bendix Electric hob oven. I have used the frying pan tonight and for some reason have a very small sticky residue on the hob. It looks like glue or sellotape or something similarly sticky has found its way on to the hob and then with the heat of the hob and cooking, it has stuck fast...

Im not sure what it is and I have tried to clean it off with hobbrite to no avail.

any tips??
