I've survived many years of boom and bust in both industries I've worked in. I never take it for granted that I have a job but work hard and hope its appreciated. I don't like the people who gloat at others misfortune - about anything. I think its sad that people feel good about themselves by putting down others. I think people are in for difficult times ahead and that banks should not have taken on the debt they did in sub-prime. I hope that we pull out of this current climate sooner rather than later. It's a shame that people on this forum seem to delight in the fact that prices are falling and that many people are struggling to sell.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

If I'm not mistaken we have just had 5 years with a continual diet of news stories about how key workers cannot afford to live in a lot of areas because of house prices.
We have had a continual diet of stories about young people having to live at home in to their thirties because there's no realistic alternative.
We have seen increasing numbers of empty houses because investors have been happy enough just to sit on them and take the capital appreciation.
Falling house prices were inevitable and extremely positive news.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

What, accept that shortly lots more people will be able to afford to buy a house? I think you're one of the only ones left who hasn't accepted this aren't you?0 -
So this thread is dragged into the depths of doom like many of the others. Note to O P, "They can't help theirselves". It's all they know..............I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left. :rolleyes:0
