Hi,
I don't seem to have any antivirus program on my laptop. I think there was one when i first got it but the free trial has expired.
I use windows vista and it's a laptop although i only ever use it from home.
Is there something free i can get??
I have a firewall but no antivirus
all suggestions welcome please

AVG, Avira AntiVir and Avast seem to be the main free ones people recommend.

I personally use AVG and find it to be VERY good

Though I also recommend installing firefox with the NOSCRIPT plugin to browse the web. Also SPYBOT to stop certain popups

don't forget to remove your exisiting antivirus package before installing the new one

I use Avast and am very pleased with it. Found AVG a bit heavy on resources and couldn't get int Avira0

My parents currently use the ME operating system and I have been trying to find a free antivirus program that is compatible, as the ones already recommended on the main website are not compatible with ME.
Any ideas?0 -
