BAD BAD halifax

Haifax
My sister isn't so good with money and she recently went overdrawn and the bank sent her 7 letters for each direct debit paid. Thats £30 a letter! she received them all within 2 days of each other. One day they sent 3 out! She had money available but this was not counted as it takes time to "clear". When she spoke to the Bank they said they would take off £30.00!

I do think £210 bank charge for going overdrawn a couple of days is a bit much! No wonder there is so much debt. She also suffers from really bad depression too, works full time and had her weekend totally ruined by this happening.

Bunch of jobsworths "computer says no"
But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more

Complain to the bank and say that you are taking it further.

Programmes like "watchdog" would be interested in things like this - hint!

Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
    Preemie hats - 2.

Vote with your (sisters) feet and change banks. Personally I'm not taking anymore rubbish off companies who provide a bad service.

tell her to open another bank account or threaten too. see what they say...

or make an appointment with bank..... explain that she understands that going overdrawn without authority should cost , but not 7 * £30........
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... ;)
