BarclayCard credit increse-advice needed

I will clear the ballance on my card on 12th September......

I have a 100% perfect record with Barcleycard since i got it in September last year and this will be the second time iv cleared the ballance....the first time was within the initial 0% for 3 months on purchases......

Iv never been over limit,late,withdrawn cash,and have always payed more than the minimum each month......

Id like a credit increase to do a ballance transfer.....

Would i be better asking them to increase my limit?..(When should i ask)... or wait till they offer? ......

Also will it be best to say i need it increaced for a B.T.or not? ....

There's no reason why you can't ask them..... that's the best bet. You'll be charged interest though on the balance your transferring as long as there isn't some special offer on though. In theory you'd be better off with a 0% BT card, but that's a different story

Just call up and ask for an increase and their scoring system will give the answer there. From what you've said i'd say the only thing against you would be not paying off the balance in full every month. However you'll never know if you don't ask!

I dont want to have a new application for a 0% card on my file before i know what Barclaycard will offer me.....

Although i think there decission is made on your history with them?....

If they dont give me a good offer then im free to get a 0% card from someone else..........

They'll just put it through a system and come out with a yes or no answer. If its yes then they'll say what they can increase it to.

You don't need to prepare yourself as the answers you give wont make a blind bit of difference to their credit scoring system that they'll use to determine if they can increase it or not.

They probably will do a credit search because you've only been with them a year, it will almost certainly be with Equifax.

Ive just renewed my Equifax so i can see my file and its all looking good.......:j

My Barclaycard wont show as payed of untill 2nd October when Equifax update there info...but Barclaycard will know this Friday.....................:beer:

Iv just transfered the remaining balace to my Barclaycard so in a couple of hours my account will show a 0% ballance.......:j
