Can anyone please help me?
I have a Phillips Wireless Router/Modem with 3 desktop computers hard wired and a laptop connected by wireless - all connect to the internet OK.
If I am on my computer running XP Pro and look under My Network Places I can see all of the desktops but can not see the laptop so can not access laptops files through the network.
If I go to one of the other computers running Win98SE it can find the laptop but then asks for a password.
The laptop is not passworded.
All of the computers are set to "Workgroup".
Can anyone please tell me how to rectify this problem?

What happens if you just press "Enter" at the password prompt?
I know a Win98 machine which always asks for a password on Boot, but only if a Network card is installed.
If NO password has been set up then pushing Enter or Cancel allows Boot to continue.
I have never found a way around this problem, and I've tried disabling all sorts of options and Clients.Move along, nothing to see.0 -

Nothing happens as it wants a password and as I said there are no passwords set on the laptop or desktops even.0
