Pogo Problems Since Updating Java

My system kept advising me to update my Java and so I downloaded the latest add on. However, since then I have been unable to use Pogo - it tries to load but then comes up with error messages. I tried enabling pop ups but this has not worked.
I'm on Windows XP.
Any ideas anyone?

Pogo is online games. I should have mentioned that I had also downloaded a Windows Service Pack 3.0
