Best bet may be to leave and re-join when they have a membership drive. I used to work along side the AA and they used to virtually give away the membership 3/4 times a year, the AA guys get commision on membership numbers so will appreciate the extra revenue too!

to be honest, RAC is cheaper and if you have a blue badge cheaper again. I think similar cover for you is £130 online £177 for a family. might be best to have a look at the rac website. Possible £40 cashback through quidco for options 3 or 4

There is a 6weeks period between cancelling and being allowed to re-joinging.

Best way is to ring them up and ask for the internet price as they have to do it at that price.

If you threaten to leave you will be put intouch with Save a member team(SAM) but they do have their bad days when you won't get anything out of them.

Don't forget your nectar points if you have a card which is 2 points per pound, theres also a ref number for extra nectar points(2000) which is BA01(can be found on nectars website).

    Hope this helps.
  • I got my renewal in, they were looking £113 for relay homestart and roadside, told them i was leaving and they asked why, I said RAc cheaper, they dropped it to same price I said RAC was doing it for ( I hadnt even asked), result, next years same cover is £65, am I happy, yup
