Have you been onto thestudentroom.com ? You may find a bit more assistance on there, particularly about books etc-there is a forum for each Uni etc and also for mature students. My daughtr logs on every day now,she is so excited re starting next month, she is doing English and Spanish Law and I know some of the modules are the same-she doesn't do criminal law to start with though due to the spanish lectures.Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0

I'm doing a combined degree (Law and Business) so only do half of law the modules a Law student does.
The law textbooks I needed were usually between £20 and £25 new which was very cheap compared to the business textbooks, but then for some modules I was recommeded to get case books which is another £20-25 and Statutes books which is about £15.
The casebooks aren't essential but saves a lot of time looking round for relevant/important bits of cases on the internet or in the library.
If you're allowed the statute book in the exam(which i only was in second year) then definately get it if not then don't bother.0
