Carpets for 2 bed bungalow

2 'normal' sized rooms, a small 2nd bedroom and a hallway. They're coming round to measure properly, but in the shop I was quoted (very roughly, obviously) £775 covering carpet, underlay, grippers, fitting etc.

Is this a decent sounding price ?

Am just going through the maze of carpet fitting myself! check this thread out

Seems the thing is to find the carpet, and get the underlay and grippers elsewhere

See if you can get someone to recommend a good fitter.

    Good luck

Seems fair to me - does depend on quality of carpet and underlay though, how much is that per m?

    The carpet is 58 sq m @ 6.50 per sq m = £377.

    Underlay £190.

    Labour £180.

Grippers / door bars etc £65.

Total £812. Would this inc VAT, it isn't mentioned ?

They'll take up and remove the old stuff for £10 per room. Worth it ?
