Queen a few things have sprung out at me.

Could you not change to freeview or if you have to have a cable package get a small one from Virgin where you get: tv, landline/broadband for £30 a month.

Also your grocery bill is rather high - how many people in your household? Look at the moneysaving oldstyle board for tips on meal planning and grocery challenges. If you change the way you shop and use places such as Lidl instead of Tesco - you will find that the pounds will go further.

Thanks for comments, electric and gas are monthly, electric is the amount we use apparently plus one or two missed payments and the begging of the year. Gas is because we have fixed until 2011 the tariff went up in Jan which they did not increase our monthly payment to £104.00 they now want £156.00 food this is the four adults and includes all work meals and cleaning materials, other insurance for ASU even though we are not covered until my hubby is back at work for 6 months not managed anything more than a few days here and there, BT tied on tarrif until July 2009, Sky we do not have any other means of T.V without this, mobiles, cut down to minimum we are tied into an 18month contract which has over 12 months left, I cann't see any light at the end of the tunnel, just going off to Accident and Emergency for my hubby to have a sickness jab, he cann't keep food down and has been like this for 3yrs they are not able to do anything with regards to the condition that he has

Have you had an energy assessment done on your home? As your hubby is in recipt of incapacity benefit, you should be entitled to an energy assessment, where your sericve provider can tell you how to spend less, but also can give free energy saving lightbulbs, and in some cases cavity wall insulation.

Ask on the gas/ electric board for options in your area.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Op will not get carers allowance as she earns to mucha dn her hubby does not get DLA.

OP I dont know what your husbands condition is but you may be able to claim DLA please took into it.

For the gas and electric it MIGHT be worth getting a pre-payment meter ( this will cost more for the electric and gas) But they will spread your debt over a longer time frame and you can watch what you use. I just think this is a HUGE expense that you cant really afford right now, so if you can lower this amout it might help.

Plus check out the warm front grant as they will insulate your house for free if your entitled.
Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!

Hi thanks for comments cann't get DLA as he is able to look after himself just not able to have a normal life always has his head down the toilet being sick or if not being sick, then feeling very sick with no energy I thinks this is because of lack of food even though he is on a nutrient diet of shakes and juices.
