Hi
After many weeks of reading posts on this forum I have finally plucked up the courage to post myself.:o
I am booked at Newcastle Court for sept 4th and am now in a state of panic, does anyone have any experiences of going BR at Newcastle? What can I expect etc?
I know I will have loads of other questions during the comming months but just wanted to say Hi to all of you wonderful people who have already gave me so much support and made me realise that this is the only option for me as I have struggled for years and only recently took my head out of the sand and started to deal with my debts.
Thanks xxx

Hi FFF and welcome! Have you had advice from CCCS or similar? If not, why don't you give them a quick call in case you're asked if you have taken any advice - I wasn't asked but I think most people are.

Hi thanks for the advice
Yes I have spoken to CCCS who were very helpful and understanding and they said that the judge prefers it if you have taken advice. They also said I could speak to them if I had any problems filling in my forms(which I'm sure I will),that's my next job although I have started to fill them in but suddenly the hoovering, dusting and ironing, even cleaning out the hamster cage becomes a more appealing option, but seriously I have set time aside each day to complete a bit at a time as I know I have only got a week to get them done.

Hi there FFF,
Red has asked me to contact you regarding the Newcastle county court.
I will paste my thread for the court experiences on here to let you know how my day went.
TBH i was papping myself bigstyle before i went even after all the excellent advice and support i had been given from here. It was a very straight forward experience. the hardest part for me was all the waiting around. got there early for my appointment and had to hang around alot between filling forms in etc and going to see the judge.
The judge experience was a couple of questions he asked regarding my old house, some figures on form and did i agree i had lived above my means and that was that. Form stamped etc and had to collect it from clerk's office again.
If you need any further info then please feel free to PM me and i'll assist some more if i can.
Also, i'll find my original court thread and add it on now.

Hi FFF
I went br at newcastle back in April (see thread below for my wafflings!) it really wasn't that bad - i know the building is really imposing but everyone was so lovely. Feel free to Pm me if you have any questions but try not to worry.... I feel so much better now its done, the apprehension is alot worse than the actual event x

Thanks
I have read your thread it has made me feel a bit better but what time did you get away from court?I My appointment is 10.50 and I have to pick my little boy up from school at 3.30 and live about 30 mins away from Newcastle so now I am in a panic about that. (to be truthful the least bit think is making me worry at the moment). If I had a rough idea I hopefully try to arrange for someone to pick him up.
