Contents Insurance

I am a student living in private rented accommodation, and i need contents insurance on just my things, if thats possible i am sharing the flat with university friends and if possibl;e maybe the insurance for the whole contents in the house, but at the moment im looking for person contents insurance any ideas?

It may be possible to get your parents' contents policy extended to cover your belongings. Expect theft cover to be limited to forcible entry to you room.0

but to each of our rooms there is no way of locking the doors, as then it will become seperate flats0
