  can anybody clarify why i have been charged this amount of interest. i currently have a cooperative travel credit card. which has charged me £27.19 interest on abalance of 765.34. which i feel is exhorbitant. As this amount has been outstanding for less than a month.i have been told that this balance is a promotional balance and not a standard balance which means even if i pay off the full amount by the end of the month i will still get charged interest from the date that i made the purchases with my card. Can anyone tell me what they mean by a promotional balance and clarify if i have any redress as i feel this is a typical rip off by the credit card company. As far as i know i have not taken part in any promotion other than having a 6 month interest free period when i transfered a balance over to this card 8 months ago. This balance was cleared 2 months ago, at the end of the interest free period.Any comments would be appreciated
