Regarding this phone. Worked brilliantly for over a year. Now the two keys to the left of the phone ie left soft key and telephone key do not work if phone is slid open (usual mode). If phone is not open and keypad is unlocked(left soft key, right softkey) these keys function - open phone and they stop again. Any ideas?
Thanks

I suspect your problem is with the internal ribbon cable inside the phone. This is the cable that connects the two parts of the phone - i.e. the screen to the phone's mainboard, and the upper keyboard to the lower part of the phone with the mainboard.
This part is easy and cheap to get off Ebay, though taking the phone apart and fixing it can be tricky. If you don't feel confident in fixing it yourself, it's probably best to put the phone on Ebay as faulty - you'll get a few quid for it, as if this is the problem there will be plenty of people who will buy it to fix!Total debt as at Jul 2012: Too much!0 -
also, some samsungs have the ribbon soldered onto the board0
